The
Baltimore Area Council extends an enthusiastic invitation to all Scouts
and Scouters to join us at Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation.
Nestled among the hills of Northern Maryland, in Harford County, Broad
Creek extends a warm welcome to all Scouts and Scouters of the Baltimore
Area Council and beyond. Our camps have trails to hike, canoes to
paddle, three Olympic-size swimming pools in which you can swim, rifles
to shoot, and plenty of games, sports, field events, and endless hours
of fun and fellowship for all. Our camp programs and facilities are
diverse; they enable us to meet the special needs of any unit. |

The cliffs which dominate the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay for thirty
miles in Calvert County, were formed over 15 million years ago when all
of Southern Maryland was covered by a warm, shallow sea. Over 600
species of fossils have been identified from these cliffs, with the
teeth of various species of shark as the most abundant fossils. The park
is 14 miles south of Prince Frederick on Maryland Routes 2 & 4.
Along with the interesting cliffs, the park offers nature trails,
picnic areas, playground equipment, fishing and many interpretative
programs. A
park map is available.
1079 acres of the park are designated as a wildlands area.
Approximately 550 acres are open to hunting for upland game, turkey and
deer. Upland game species include squirrels and rabbits. Turkey hunting
is permitted only during the spring gobbler season. Deer hunting is
permitted during seasons established by the Wildlife Division. All
hunters must register at the parking area.
Calvert Cliffs State Park is operated and maintained jointly by the
"Friends of Calvert Cliffs State Park" and the State Forest and Park
Service.

Camp Sinoquipe is a beautiful 500 acre forested mountain facility with a
10 acre lake located in the rural area two miles from the village of
Fort Littleton, Pennsylvania located in Fulton County. We are 120 miles
from Baltimore, 115 miles from DC, and 65 miles from Harrisburg
Sinoquipe has a beautiful lake offering swimming, canoeing, and
recreational kayaking. |

Everyone who has visited Hidden Valley, whether a
long-time Scouter or a new scout, quickly becomes impressed with the
beauty of the area. The mountain setting, with Sherman’s Creek winding
throughout the camp, offers an ideal location for the large number of
Scouting activities that occur there annually.

Located near Dillsburg, Pennsylvania on the
York and Cumberland County border, Camp Tuckahoe has served as the
council's summer camp home since 1948. With 1,300 acres of lush wooded
hills, Tuckahoe is a Scout camp rich in the purest traditions of Scout
camping while offering campers of all ages outstanding challenges and
adventures.
Tuckahoe has been transformed for the 21st century
through $4.5 million worth of new construction and renovations that were
completed in 2003. With the addition of a new
dining hall,
swimming pool, bath house,
Cub World and many other new additions, Tuckahoe has been reshaped
into one of the finest Scout camping facilities found anywhere in the
United States.
