Welcome
to Troop 740!
and Thank You for
taking an interest in our Scouting Program.
This page is separated into several sections.
About Scouting
Boy
Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA,
is available to boys who are at least 10 years old or have
completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but
not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the Boy Scout of
America's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and
personal fitness.

If you are a boy in first grade through fifth grade—or you're 7 to
10 years old—then Cub Scouting is for you! Some of the best things about
Cub Scouting are the activities you get to do: camping, hiking,
racing model cars, going on field trips, or doing projects that
help your community and the people who live there. For more
information on Cub Scouting with 740 see the
Pack 740's website.
About Our Troop
We
are an active group that meets weekly, camps once a month,
participates in regular community service activities and attends
Boy Scout Summer Camp every year. We focus on providing an
environment that fosters in youth the initiative to grow and learn
while instilling strong values and morals that will serve them for
the rest of their lives.
Troop 740 is a fifty seven year old
Boy Scout Troop chartered to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish,
located at 8501 Loch Raven Blvd. For more information on the
